Mike Tarsi throws a Gem
Saturday the Beloit Snappers swept a double header against the Burlington Bees. Mike got the the start in the first game and has continued to throw well. He threw 6 innings out of a 7 inning game facing only 1 batter over the minimum. Tarsi’s change up was the best it’s been all season and his 8 strikeouts are the most so far this year. He only gave up 2 hits, picked one of those guys off and issued no walks. He lowered his E.R.A to 6.09 which is a very deceiving mark for this lefty.

Mike Tarsi hasn’t been particularly consistent so far, but the 21 year old southpaw has shown flashes of brilliance. Today was one.
Tarsi and Company Shutout the Bee’s
The Snappers got a couple good pitching performances by Michael Tarsi and Mike Mccardell. Tarsi’s start stood out as he went 6 shutout innings and only gave up 2 hits while striking out 8 batters in his best start of the season. Mccardell hadn’t made a start in a month so he was only able to go 3.2 innings but he only gave up 1 run on 1 hit along with a walk and 5 strikeouts. The biggest difference in the Snappers since they started winning has been their starting pitching. Tarsi if he can build off of this will make it so much better becuase he has the best stuff out of anybody on the Snappers staff and if he can keep it up the Snappers should continue to rise.
It has been said that he can pull out a great white's teeth with his bare hands. He enjoys sports, cars, and photography. Send me an email ->
